Common questions

What does text to QR do?

It turns text or a link into a black-and-white QR code. Enter text, then click Generate. The code appears on the right.

Why is the limit 1000 characters?

1000 characters covers longer links and a short note. Beyond that, the code becomes too dense for a phone to scan reliably. If the text is still too dense, the page will say it cannot generate a code. Chinese characters count toward the limit too.

Is the text uploaded?

No. The QR code is generated in your browser. No account is required, and the text is not sent anywhere.

How do I copy or download the QR code?

Copy image places the PNG on your clipboard so you can paste it into a document or chat. The download name includes the current time to the minute, for example txtal-qr-202610020931.png. If your browser cannot copy images, use download instead.
